Privacy Policy

Effective July 19, 2026

This privacy policy is applicable to the Taskplore app for mobile devices, together with any related services (collectively, the "Application"). Taskplore is made by MK for Programming and Development, which is hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider".

Data controller information

Name: MK for Programming and Development (maker of Taskplore)

Email: info@mkdev.qa

Website: mkdev.qa

MK for Programming and Development acts as the Data Controller responsible for the processing of your personal data. For data protection inquiries and to exercise your rights under this policy, please contact the Data Controller using the details above.

What information does the Application collect?

The Application and related services acquire the information you supply when you register for and use the service. Registration with the Service Provider is required to use the Application, since projects and tasks are shared with your teammates.

Specifically, the Application collects:

  • Account information from your organization's identity provider: your name, email address, and profile photo. Taskplore accounts are provisioned by your organization and authenticated through single sign-on managed by your organization, rather than a password you create with the Service Provider.
  • Content you create in the Application: projects, tasks, checklists, deadlines, and any files or photos you attach to a task.
  • Collaboration information: when you assign a task to a teammate or add them to a project, their name and email address become visible to other members of that project.

The Service Provider may also use the information you provide to send important information, required notices, and, where permitted by law, service-related communications.

Legal basis for processing your personal data

Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, the Service Provider relies on one or more of the following:

  • Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Application, such as storing your projects and tasks.
  • Consent: where you have given explicit consent to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
  • Legitimate interests: where processing is necessary for maintaining the security of the Application, preventing fraud and abuse, or operating its core functionality, provided those interests are not overridden by your data protection rights.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with laws or lawful government requests.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Application is a mobile app and does not use cookies. Signing in through your organization's identity provider may use its own session identifiers to keep you signed in.

What information does the Application collect automatically?

The Application automatically receives certain technical information needed to operate the service, such as your mobile device's operating system, device identifiers used for security and sign-in, and the IP address transmitted when your device connects to our servers. If you allow notifications, it also stores a device token used to deliver them, described in the next section.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, the Application stores a device token provided by your device's push service — Apple Push Notification service on iOS and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android — so it can deliver notifications about your tasks and projects. The token identifies your device installation, not you personally, and it is stored against your account only so that notifications reach the right device. It is deleted when you sign out, turn off notifications, or delete your account. The Service Provider does not use it for advertising or tracking, and does not sell it or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information?

No. This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Does the Application use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies?

No. The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.

Do third parties see or have access to information obtained by the Application?

The Application authenticates you through your organization's identity provider, operated by or on behalf of your organization, so you can sign in securely without creating a separate password with the Service Provider. The Service Provider does not share your information with third parties, except as described in this privacy policy.

The Service Provider may otherwise disclose information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
  • when it believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect its rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with trusted service providers who work on its behalf, do not have an independent use of the information disclosed to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set out in this privacy policy.

International data transfers

The Service Provider or its service providers may transfer personal data outside your country or region. Where such transfers occur, the Service Provider will rely on an appropriate legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

What are your opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information from your device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but does not automatically delete information already held by the Service Provider. To request deletion of your personal data or to exercise any of your rights, contact the Service Provider at info@mkdev.qa.

Data retention

The Service Provider retains your personal data for as long as your account is active, so that your projects, tasks, and checklists remain available to you and your team. If you request deletion, your organization's administrator reviews and approves the request before your data is removed, except where the Service Provider must retain certain records to comply with a legal obligation.

Data deletion

You can request deletion of your account in the app from Profile > Account > Delete Account, or without the app by contacting the Service Provider at info@mkdev.qa. Because Taskplore accounts are provisioned by your organization, deletion requests are reviewed and approved by your organization's administrator rather than carried out immediately by the app or the Service Provider alone. Once approved, and after the Service Provider verifies your identity where applicable, your personal data is deleted from its systems, except where retention is required for legal compliance or to avoid disrupting a shared project your teammates still rely on. See Delete Your Account & Data for the full process and exactly what is deleted or retained.

Children's privacy

The Application is not intended for use by children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to the Service Provider, please contact the Service Provider at info@mkdev.qa so it can be removed.

Security

The Service Provider is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of your information and implements physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the data it processes and stores. Access is limited to those who need it to operate, develop, or improve the Application. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and the Service Provider cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data breach notification

In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, the Service Provider will notify the relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law and, where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, will notify you without undue delay.

Your data protection rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data the Service Provider holds about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate data;
  • request erasure of your personal data;
  • request that the Service Provider restrict how it uses your data;
  • receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — for example, the European Data Protection Board for the EEA, or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

The Service Provider does not sell your personal information and does not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are a California resident, you additionally have the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, request its deletion or correction, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact the Service Provider at info@mkdev.qa.

Changes to this policy

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent before they take effect. Previous versions are available on request by contacting the Service Provider at info@mkdev.qa.
